ECB Draghi says doing everything in order to restore inflation
ECB is doing everything in order to restore inflation,
said President Mario Draghi, in an interview with German Bild Wednesday.
He added that he is aware of the situation for savers but rates are low because inflation is low. He said that real rates however, are higher today than in the 1990’s.
Meanwhile, Draghi said that the ECB obeys the law, not the politicians. “It is normal for politicians to comment on our actions. But it would be abnormal if we listened to them.”
