US stocks start week with a decline
FXStreet (Córdoba) - Wall Street is falling on Monday. The Dow Jones was down 0.42% after the four hours of trading while the Nasdaq was losing 0.35%. European markets finished lower. The FTSE 100 lost 0.32%, the Dax retreated 1.11% and the Cac 40 dropped 0.70%. The European index Stoxx 600 was down 0.49%. The Ukraine crisis and the military invasion of Gaza weighed on stocks.
Gold was flat trading around $1,311 after peaking at $1,318 while crude oil was rising 1% trading above $104 a barrel. Among currencies the US dollar was among the best performers but price action was limited, with main currencies moving around Friday’s closing price.
