UK: Goods Trade deficit widens to £-9.204B in May, against forecasts

FXStreet (Łódź) - UK Goods Trade deficit widened to £-9.204 billion in May from £-8.812 billion in April, according to data released today by National Statistics. Analysts expected the deficit to narrow to £-8.750 billion.

Total Trade deficit widened to £-2.418 billion in May from £-2.052 billion in April.

UK non-EU Trade deficit widened to £-3.961 billion from £-3.876 billion and against expectations of narrowing to £-3.400 billion.

EUR/SEK: still risks of temporary spikes - UBS

The UBS analyst team notes that given the recent strong easing surprise by the Riksbank, there are still risks of temporary spikes higher in the coming weeks before EUR/SEK should come down to 9.10 in three months.
