US and China draw closer to final trade agreement – Financial Times

While the return of the US delegates from Beijing trade talks provided a push to risk sentiment during early-week, a news report from Financial Times conveying nearness to a final trade agreement between the world’s two largest economies may please antipodeans and commodity traders alike.

Earlier on Wednesday, Financial Times reported that the US and China are closer to a final trade when they discuss the much-awaited trade deal after the Chinese team led by Premier Liu He arrived Washington.

The report cites people briefed on talks while saying that the top US and Chinese officials have resolved most of the issues standing in the way of a deal to end their long-running trade dispute but are still haggling over how to implement and enforce the agreement.
