UK Brexit Sec Barclay: Going back to the referendum would damage democracy

The UK Brexit Secretary Stephen Barclay was out on the wires in the last hour, via Reuters, saying that we are working on what to propose on the backstop and it is in both sides interest to have a deal.

He was further noted saying that Parliament recognizes that compromise is needed and going back to the referendum would damage democracy. PM May's deal is the most popular of options available and there is a huge amount in the deal that lawmakers do support, he added further.
