NZD/USD falls fellow 0.8600

FXStreet (Córdoba) - The NZD/USD rose to test 0.8620 during the Asian session but failed to break higher and lost momentum. On European hours moved to the downside and after breaking below 0.8600 fell to 0.8564 reaching a 2-day low.

After wall Street opening bounced to the upside and trimmed losses. Now trades at 0.8583, down 0.17% for the day. Price is once again approaching last week lows that lie barely above 0.8550.

RBNZ in focus

In a few hours, at 20:00 GMT the Reserve Bank of New Zealand (RBNZ) will announce its decision on monetary policy. A rate hike from 2.75% to 3% in the official cash rate is expected. Volatility in Kiwi’s crosses is expected to rise near Wall Street closing bell.

Gold bounces at 1,280; recovery doesn't seem strong

The Gold declined $9 from 1,289 in the early American morning to find support at 1,280 level where the XAU/USD bounced to make a shy attempt to recover ground; however, the yellow metal hasn't been able to go above 1,285.
