NZD/USD attempting 0.8680; supported on weak USD

FXStreet (Guatemala) - Currently, NZD/USD is trading at 0.8669, up 0.81% on the day, having posted a daily high at 0.8683 and low at 0.8592.

NZD/USD has, for the most part, been consolidating the move from Friday’s business and is struggling at 0.8680 with a couple of attempts to the downside. With little from the calendar to take note of, markets are generally moving away from the dollar still that is supporting the case for a strong kiwi.

At the time of writing, RSI is neutral at 51.33, down from 59.85 at the last hour close, while ADX is ranging at 23.12, down from 31.52 previous. Meanwhile, daily RSI is in neutral territory at 58.33. On the hourly NZD/USD chart, the 200 SMA is declining and currently at 0.8622, down from the previous hour close at 0.8622. On average, the exponential closing price for the past 20 days is 0.8561, with the trend indicating a continuation higher ahead.
