The USD/CHF extends its decline and now tests the 0.8870

FXStreet (San Francisco) - The US dollar is extending its decline against the Swiss Franc as the pair under pressure from its negative correlation from the EUR/USD. After breaking below the 0.8900 in the European session, the USD/CHF is now testing the 0.8870 area.

Currently, USD/CHF is trading at 0.8880, down 0.49% on the day, having posted a daily high at 0.8929 and low at 0.8871. The hourly FXStreet OB/OS Index is showing oversold conditions, alongside the FXStreet Trend Index which is slightly bearish.

USD/CHF levels to watch

Below 0.8880, the US dollar versus Swiss Franc exchange rate would face supports at 0.8870, 0.8840 and 0.8815. On the upside, resistances are at 0.8900, 0.8925 and 0.8950.

ECB's Constancio: ECB stands ready to counter deflationary risks

Presenting ECB's 2013 annual report today at the European Parliament, ECB Vice President Vitor Constancio said that the central bank is prepared to maintain a “high degree accommodative monetary policy” for as long as necessary and that it is ready to act if deflationary pressures in the Eurozone increase.
