BoE/TNS UK inflation expectations for next 12 months at 2.9% vs 2.9% previous

According to the latest Bank of England/TNS Inflation Attitudes Survey, released this Friday, the headline inflation expectations over the next 12-month stood at 2.9%, unchanged from previous survey conducted in February.

Below are some of the key survey results:

   •  25% of UK public has no idea how interest rates will change over next 12 months.
   •  51% of public expects UK interest rates to rise over next 12 months.
   •  Inflation two-years ahead seen at 2.9% (unchanged).
   •  Inflation five-years ahead seen at 3.6% (3.4% prior).
