UK: Retail sales to bounce back with a 0.7% gain in February - TDS

After poor Dec/Jan sales, analysts at TDS are looking for February retail sales of UK to bounce back with a 0.7% m/m gain (mkt +0.3%).

Key Quotes

“The survey period for retail sales did not include the snowy winter weather at the end of the month, so don't look for any impact there, although the colder weather earlier in the month may have hurt sales in some categories. However, the Visa expenditure survey was quite a bit stronger and pointed to an improvement in sales this month, so we do see overall risks lying to the upside.”
