NOK: Underlying inflation to remain unchanged in December - TDS

Analysts at TDS are looking for Norway’s underlying inflation to remain unchanged at 1.0% y/y in December, compared to consensus of 1.2%.

Key Quotes

“We’re looking for a fairly soft m/m reading for CPI-ATE, as seasonal factors seem to have shifted over the last few years with increasingly negative numbers in December, and in fact the y/y rate has come in below consensus every single December for at least the last 5 years. For headline inflation though we look for a slight rise to 1.3% y/y as energy prices remain supportive.”
