Russian troops fire warning shots at Crimea air base

FXStreet (Łódź) - Warning shots have been fired by Russian troops towards a group of approximately 300 unarmed Ukrainian soldiers who approached the occupied Belbek air base in Crimea. The Ukrainians, previously working at the base, wanted to return there and guard it together with the Russians.

Earlier on Monday Russian President Vladimir Putin ordered troops on military exercises from the western borders. A statement from the Russian leader is expected to be broadcast shortly.
