Sources: Canada open to Mexico five-year NAFTA review proposal - RTRS
Reuters quoted two Canadian government sources late on Thursday, noting that Canada is open to a Mexican proposal to review the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) every five years, as suggested by the US.
Key Points:
“Speaking on condition of anonymity because of the sensitivity of the talks, one Canadian official said Canada’s government would consider Guajardo’s proposal provided it was not a sunset clause.
A second government source, also speaking on condition of anonymity, said Canada was open to discussing the idea.”
