Japan on Yen’s advance: ‘No comments’ - Nikkei

The Nikkei Asian Review reported earlier today that the Japan’s government officials have preferred not to comment on the recent yen appreciation against the US dollar, as they seek to remain in Trump’s good books.

“The Japanese government kept quiet on the yen's climb to a five-month high against the dollar, wary of provoking the U.S. at a delicate time by making a flagrant attempt to halt the currency's gains.”
