Fed's Dudley: U.S. household sector in unusually good shape given economic cycle - Reuters

New York Fed President William Dudley, overall U.S. household debt is expected to surpass its pre-recession high later this year his prepared remarks, said in his prepared remarks, as reported by Reuters. Although he did not comment on the monetary policy, Dudley argued that sharp rises in the value of housing and stock prices, jobs growth and moderate strength in wages mean that, overall, "the household sector's financial condition today is in unusually good shape for this point in the economic cycle."
