Flash: USD/CAD on a 1.10 handle – TDS

FXstreet.com (Guatemala) - Strategists at TD Securities noted that USDCAD is trading on a 1.10 handle for the first time since 2009 this morning as the bull run extends on aggressive buying from US banks through the London session.

Key Quotes:

“The Canadian manufacturing sales report today provides a nice curtain-raiser for the BoC policy meeting announcement Wednesday”.

“We expect manufacturing sales to provide further evidence of soft domestic growth—we look for a 0.2% drop in the headline rate of sales for November, well below the consensus 0.3% gain which should add a little more pressure on the CAD intraday”.
