AUD/JPY stages a solid comeback, re-takes 81.00

The AUD/JPY cross sees more-than 60-pips solid recovery in the Asian session, mainly driven easing risk-off trades and stalled USD selling across the board.

AUD/JPY: 5-DMA at 81.06 tested

The risk barometer is seen recovering losses amid a tepid-bounce seen in both AUD/USD as well USD/JPY, just as the US dollar stalls its corrective slide against its main competitors.

Focus now remains on the US fundamentals and Fedspeak due later in the NA session for fresh impetus on the cross. While next week remains key for the AUD, with a series of economic news out China and Australia on the cards.

Higher side: 81.39 (daily pivot), 82.00 (zero figure)

Lower side: 79.86 (20-DMA), 79.35 (200-DMA)
