AUD/USD climbs to highs above 0.7550

The Australian dollar extended gains versus its US counterpart, as commodity currencies outperforms, supported by better sentiment and stocks gains.

AUD/USD has climbed nearly 80 pips after bouncing at the 100-day SMA and reached a peak of 0.7552 in recent dealings. At time of writing, AUD/USD is trading at 0.7545, recording a 0.87% daily gain.

There is no first-tier data scheduled for the New York session, so trading might continue to be driven by broader sentiment.

AUD/USD technical levels

In terms of technical levels, next resistances could be found at 0.7558 (10-day SMA), 0.7581 (50-day SMA) and 0.7600 (psychological level). On the other hand, supports are seen at 0.7477 (100-day SMA), 0.7441 (Sep 13 low) and 0.7400 (psychological level).
