Dutch 10-year Govt bond yield turns negative for first time
Amid waning risk-on moods, the bond yields across Europe are taking a hit on the back of renewed hopes of further ECB easing, in wake of the Brexit decision. The Brexit-led uncertainty prevalent in the markets at present, is assumed to weigh on the on the Eurozone peripheral bond yields.
The yield on two-year German government bonds fell to minus 0.70 percent, its lowest level since it hit a record low the day after the June 23 referendum, the benchmark 10-year German Bund yields drop nearly 3% to -0.189%. While yield on super-long 30-year bonds tumbled more than 2 basis points to 0.338%. Besides, the Dutch 10-year Govt bond yield turns negative for first time.
