US: Jobless claims and wholesale inventories in focus - TDS

Research Team at TDS, suggests that in the US initial jobless claims should edge higher for the week ending May 28.

“TD’s forecast is for claims to increase to 274k from 267k; the market consensus is for a less volatile bounce to 270k.

Later in the morning we will see wholesale inventories for April which the market expects to build by a very modest 0.1% m/m. TD is more bearish and expects to see inventories edge 0.1% lower. Wholesale sales should be much stronger at 0.5% m/m (market: 1.1% m/m).”
