Pound spikes on BoE's Carney 'no-QE' headline

FXstreet.com (Barcelona) - The British Pound is strengthening across the board after Bank of England's Governor Mr. Carney was referred in a recent headline saying "he does not see a case for more QE in the UK."

The headline alone boosted the Pound 70/80 on average vs main competitors, taking the exchange rate vs the USD above 1.61 while visiting the 159.00 round level vs the JPY. Against the EUR, the pressure builds as the rate touched 0.8360 lows.
