Wall Street rockets on Fed's no-taper decision
FXstreet.com (San Francisco) - The US stocks rallied to record highs on the Wednesday as investors cheered the fed's decision to maintain intact its bond buying program. Bernanke says no taper in the rest of his term and low rates for at least two more years.
As summary, gold and oil rose and the US dollar and Treasurys declined. The Nasdaq closed at a new 13-year high and Dow and S&P 500 reached record highs just before the close.
The Dow Jones advanced 147.21 points or 0.95% to 15,676.94. The S&P 500 added 20.76 pts or 1.22% to 1,725.52. The Nasdaq Composite rose 37.94 pts or 1.01% to 3,783.64.
