UK construction PMI rises to 58.1 in June

FXStreet (Mumbai) - UK Markit/CIPS construction PMI rises to a 58.1, its fastest for four months, beating the estimate of 56.5. The construction PMI stood at 55.9 in May.

The uptick in the index was mainly due to growth in both commercial and civil engineering activities. The overall growth of new work has rebounded for the second successive month to its steepest since October 2014. The rate of job creations was also the fastest since December 2014. Input price inflation accelerated to a three-month high.
