China CSRC to promote the development of the asset management industry - Reuters

FXStreet (Mumbai) - As reported by Reuters, Chinese newspapers available in Beijing and Shanghai carried the following stories on Friday.

China's securities regulator will promote the development of the country's asset management industry through steps such as formulating a set of industry regulations and standards, its Assistant Chairman Zhang Yujun said at a forum on Thursday.

Separately, another story read, outbound direct investment from China to members of the European Union and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations rose by 367.8 and 78.4 percent respectively in the first five months of the year, data from the Ministry of Commerce showed.

Gold hovers circa $ 1200

Gold prices on Comex took a breather in its recent upsurge in Asia and moved away from fresh three-week highs printed at 1205.50 on Thursday following softer-CPI figures from the US which eased Sept rate hike expectations, boosting the yellow metal beyond 1200 barrier.
