Gold bullish position rose slightly
FXStreet (Mumbai) - As per the data released by the US Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), speculators increased bullish positions slightly last week for the first time after seven straight weeks.
The total non-commercial futures contracts of Comex gold futures stood at a net position of +54,281 contracts during the reporting time period March 17th to March 24th. This was a weekly change of +1188 contracts from the previous week’s total of +53,093 net contracts.
The weekly bullish positions rose by 5966 contracts, while the bearish positions rose by 4778 contracts, thereby leading to a net weekly change of +1188 contracts.
Meanwhile, during the reporting time period, Gold prices rose sharply from USD 1148.20/Oz to USD 1191.40/Oz levels.
