EUR/USD jumps to fresh session highs, 1.1400 in sight
FXStreet (Mumbai) - EUR/USD rallied further to fresh session highs in the early European morning, as lack of positive surprises on timing of rate-hike from Yellen’s comments continue to weigh on the US dollar, dragging it lower across the board.
EUR/USD rises from 1.1354 levels
The EUR/USD now trades higher by 0.33% at fresh highs of 1.1379 levels, having previously posted fresh session lows at 1.1340 levels. EUR/USD climbed higher, eyeing 1.14 threshold, after the US dollar accelerated losses as the Europe open triggered a fresh round of USD sell-off.
Meanwhile, traders now shift their attention towards US macro data, another round of Yellen’s testimony before the House and ECB Draghi’s testimony as well, in absence of any Euro zone data in the session ahead.
EUR/USD Technical Levels
The pair has an immediate resistance at 1.1400 levels, above which gains could be extended to 1.1430 (Feb 20 High) levels. On the flip side, support is seen at 1.1339 (Today’s Low) levels, below which it could extend losses to 1.1288 (Feb 24 Low) levels.
