GBP/USD bullish above 1.5350 – OCBC

FXStreet (Barcelona) - Emmanuel Ng of OCBC Bank, expects GBP/USD to move towards 1.5470 if the pair remains above 1.5350 into BOE’s minutes.

Key Quotes

“Despite broad based USD softness on Tuesday, the GBPUSD was undermined by softer than expected Jan CPI/RPI readings, with the pair backing away from 1.5400 to flat to softer on the day.”

“BOE MPC minutes due today (look for confirmation that members remain less dovish than widely perceived) may impart further localized impetus for the pair and expect room for further upside towards 1.5470 if the pair does not relapse below 1.5350.”
