US trade balance narrows in November

FXStreet (London) - The US trade deficit narrowed to USD39b in November from USD42.2bn in October, according to the US Commerce Department.

Trade deficit fell 7.7 percent in November. The trade deficit excluding petroleum at came in at USD27.56bn.

Imports fell 2.2 percent in November to USD235.36bn from USD240.57bn in October. Exports fell 1 percent to USD196.36bn from USD198.32bn in October.

EUR/GBP hovers near 5-DMA

The EUR/GBP pair retreated today to trade near the 5-DMA located at 0.7825 levels as the single currency suffered a double blow in the form of domestic deflation and a strong Jobs data in the US.
