LME Inventory Update

FXStreet (Mumbai) - The daily warehouse stocks data released by the London Metal Exchange (LME) today showed a rise in the inventory levels of Copper and Aluminium. Meanwhile, the inventory levels of Nickel, Zinc and Lead declined.

Copper stocks rose by 1425 tonnes today, while Aluminium inventory increased by 4100 tonnes. Nickel stocks declined by 960 tonnes while that of Zinc and lead got subtracted by 3825 and 2300 tonnes respectively.

Wider than expected current account surplus offers some support for JPY - BTMU

Lee Hardman, FX Analyst at the Bank of Tokyo Mitsubishi UFJ, notes that Yen derived some support overnight from the release of a wider than expected current account surplus, but the Yen weakening trend still remains firm.

US fixed income market sold off on the strong US data – Danske

The Danske Bank Research Team notes that the US fixed income market sold off on the strong US NFP data as yields rose more than 10.3bp in 2 year government bonds, to the highest level since 2011.
