US Non manufacturing activity expands for the 58th consecutive month
FXStreet (Mumbai) - The US ISM non manufacturing index for November came-in at 59.3, beating market expectations of 57.5 and higher than the October’s print of 57.1.
The Non-Manufacturing Business Activity Index increased to 64.4, which is higher than October’s reading of 60.00. The New Orders Index rose to 61.4, compared to the October’s reading of 59.1. Meanwhile, the employment index cooled down to 56.7 from the October’s reading of 59.6. However, the employment index continued to grow for the ninth consecutive month.
On Price front, the index increased to 54.4 from the October’s print of 52.1. Moreover, 4 non-manufacturing industries reported growth in November. Comments from the majority of respondents indicate that business conditions are on track for continued growth, although capacity constraints have emerged due to month-on-month increase in activity.
