BoE keeps rates, asset purchases unchanged

FXstreet.com (Córdoba) - The Bank of England's Monetary Policy Committee on Thursday decided to keep the official bank rate at a record low of 0.5%, where it has been since March 2009, for another month.

The BoE also voted to maintain the amount of asset purchases at £375 billion. The previous change in the size of QE was an increase of £50 billion to a total of £375 billion in July 2012. Both decisions were expected by most analysts.

GBP/USD trading at session highs after BoE

The GBP/USD pair churned higher to establish fresh session highs at 1.5462/65 after the BoE decision during European trading.
