Stronger dollar shouldn't have a meaningful impact on inflation or growth - Societe Generale
FXStreet (Łódź) - Kit Juckes, Global Head of Currency Strategy at Societe Generale suggests that despite recent concerns a stronger dollar shouldn't overly hurt US growth or inflation.
Key Quotes
"References to downside risks to growth from a stronger dollar made headlines (see Jon Hilsenrath in the Wall Street Journal, in particular) but the currency would have to go much, much further in order to have a meaningful impact on inflation or growth."
"Fed caution is noted, equity markets have bounced, over-stretched positions are reduced, and we can now go back to watching the US data."
"A rate hike is still likely in June 2015."
